Leo Amsterdam is the new cosy brown café in Amsterdam-Oost, on Beukenplein. From early morning until late at night, this will be your second home in Oost, mark our words.

Why you should visit LEO Amsterdam

Leo Amsterdam is a welcome addition to Beukenplein, where a second restaurant by the owner of Gitane will soon open. Leo maintains the tradition and appearance of the brown pub in a modern way. The idea behind the various establishments of the Goudvisch Family (also responsible for Arie, Bonnie, Polly, De Neef van Fred, and Moos) is to create a place where you immediately feel at home. We dare to say that they have succeeded with flying colours.

As you are used to from the other establishments of the Goudvisch Family, the interior of Leo is also designed by Studio Modijefsky. Wood, marble, and other natural materials create a warm and inviting atmosphere. This interior exudes cosiness and character. The white curtains in front of the windows give the space a cosy, brown pub vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. With a large, sunny terrace, Bistro Leo is the ideal place for an extensive meal (so you can try all the dishes on the menu!), even with a large group.

Bistro Leo is the perfect start to your day with a good cup of coffee or an extensive brunch (or both, of course). You can choose from sandwiches and lunch dishes, such as burrata with watermelon and classics like steak tartare. In the evening, numerous bistro classics grace the menu: steak with jus, a smash burger, and farm chicken. Additionally, there are new, unique dishes that you want to try. Head to Oost, as there is plenty to discover these days.
