On Monday (Mar 18), Kimbae, a 46-year-old influencer who once made the news for downing nine litres of beer a day is causing alarm on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing: “I am ready to die”.
The picture showed Kimba with a swollen belly and lying in bed wearing an adult diaper.
“The abdominal pain is unbearable, and I have been taking sleeping pills to force myself to sleep, but I am still waking up from the pain,” he wrote.
Back in September last year, doctors in Japan gave him a year to live due to liver failure.
In the comments, some wrote that Kimbae started binge drinking when he was 35.
Kimbae also shared that he was wearing a diaper as he would leak faeces and urine uncontrollably .
He revealed that he is unable to stomach solids as he vomits whatever he eats, relegating him to drinking juice from a small plastic bottle to keep him alive.
After pictures of Kimbae’s condition spread, many netizens came out to wish him a speedy recovery.
However, a few ridiculed him as an attention-seeking alcoholic.
“This is the fate of drunkards,” wrote an insensitive user.
It also seems Kimbae’s post has scared some folks to reconsider their own drinking habits.
“This kind of life is too painful,” one wrote.
“A very good way of getting people to cut down on drinking,” commented another.
